It takes leaders to sustain vibrant and progressive communities.

Leadership-Baltimore County, founded in 1983, prepares talented people to take on leadership positions on the boards of community and regional non-profit organizations, and provides the foundation for personal and career growth.

Here's how Leadership-Baltimore County works:

  • Class of 40 competitively selected participants each year
  • Monthly day-long seminars held from September to June
  • Self-directed activities with the Baltimore region's community issues as themes:
  • economic development
  • public safety
  • social services
  • education
  • county and state government
  • health
  • Field visits to explore the impact of issues on the community and people's daily lives
  • Interaction with policy setters and decision makers
  • Examination of the role leaders play in finding solutions to critical challenges

Leadership-Baltimore County puts you in touch with high-impact people.

Participants come from prominent large and small businesses, education, non- profits, government, and community agencies. Speakers include noted subject matter experts and county and state officials.
